“A cyberattack caused our IT systems in production to fail, among other things. Important data at our final inspection could not be recorded and processed. However, with the SCAn@bepartner system, we were able to set up a parallel system for recording and evaluation processes and put it into operation within a few hours.
We were impressed by the short response time and the simple and flexible configuration of the system. Many thanks to the team at be partner for their fast, flexible and super support.”

Data is the new gold!

Huge amounts of data are collected, processed and used for business purposes everywhere and at all times.

The flow of data and information in industry ranges from the automatic transmission of orders and call-offs via standardized interfaces from the customer to the supplier.

Within production, information on quantities, quality, downtimes and much more is recorded via production data acquisition systems (PDA). And finally, delivery bills are transmitted to the customer via EDI, which in turn serve as the basis for invoicing.

But what happens if these systems are disrupted, if the information can no longer be recorded and processed? Without this data, regular business operations are now virtually impossible. Therefore, everything is done to make these systems as fail-safe as possible.
However, this is not always successful - the number of cyberattacks and hacker attacks on companies is constantly increasing.

It's good to have a contingency plan at hand in such cases.

As part of our supplier management, we have already supported several companies/suppliers that have fallen victim to such attacks. We took care of communication and data exchange and did everything we could to mitigate the loss as best we could.

Recently, another company from the automotive industry was hit. Among other things, a cyber attack paralyzed data acquisition in production. Output quantity and quality could no longer be fully recorded.

However, our system enabled us to implement an independent PDA system at selected production stations within a few hours in order to record output quantities, variants and the quality status despite the IT failure and make the information available to the downstream areas.

Using mobile hand-held scanners, we record the components, can store quality status information and fault trees, even several barcodes can be scanned using defined rules, thus ensuring traceability, and even warehouse management can be implemented.
